Prayer is a private and/or corporate way we communicate with God. Through prayer, we strengthen our relationship with God and experience the presence of God. Praying for everyone is not easy. In fact, there are some people who find it easier to pray for others than for themselves. On the other hand, some find it difficult because they believe that a prayer has to be full of hard to pronounce words and clichés. My friend this is not the case.
James 4:8 reminds us that if we draw near to God, God will draw near to us. However, growing close to God requires that we get to know God by consistently devoting a specific period of time (daily) to communicate with God through prayer. Prayer refreshes, strengthens and rejuvenates us. We encourage you to set time aside to talk to God privately – He understands all and is there to listen. Please feel free to read the prayer below and submit a prayer request.
Dear Lord, I thank you for your word. I long to be in your presence and desire a more intimate relationship with You. I want to know You in every way – as my savior, healer, deliverer, comforter, redeemer and more. God help me to set aside time with You where I can hear from Heaven. (Psalm 145:18) declares that You are near to all who call upon You in truth. God we are calling upon You today. Give us strength where we are weak, protection from harm, give us comfort in trying times. Even now Lord, someone is sick and needs to know You as a healer. Whatever the situation may be God we know that You can fix it. You have the power! Lord we love You and honor You for all of Your blessings; we especially thank you for Your son Jesus Christ. Help us to be what You would have us to be in our homes, churches and communities. Let our light so shine so that men will see the good works in us and glorify the father which is in Heaven (Matthew 5:16). Lord it is in your son Jesus’ name we pray (the name that has the power to save, heal, deliver, provide, protect and more)
Amen.
